Hollywood
I'm still waiting for the outrage from the Federal government concerning the enormous profits being raked in by the Hollywood movie studios. Last week it was announced that ticket prices would be going up. Oh wait, Hollywood agrees with the administration ... they're safe! It's only the corporations that disagree with Obamacare that get called before congress. It's OK when Hollywood (realizing that taxes are going up ... way up) decides to protect its bottom line. But when ordinary corporations follow suit ... of course they will be demonized by the Obama administration.
The new campaign by the D.C. tourism bureau revolves around the concept of POWER ... "create your own power trip." Since the president is on his own power trip, you might as well be on your own power trip. I get it ... that is so cute!
Here is some advice to all the waves of patriot protesters that will be descending on Washington D.C. in the coming months. Pack a lunch; bring your own water; fill your tank before you get into town. Do everything you can to stop yourself from spending a dime in Washington D.C.! The politicians are already spending your money and the money your children have yet to earn. Why spend more? You are already sacrificing your time and money to be there. Don't pile on more.

Picking Our Way Through The World
As we make our way through the world, we meet some interesting people. We meet people that we connect with; we meet others with which we feel indifference. We meet some that evoke outright disdain. Some people have light energy; Others have the energy of a black hole, trying to suck others of lighter energy into a cauldron of negativity. Sometimes it can be so bad that we wonder if the person we are encountering needs a strict regimen of pharmaceuticals ... or perhaps the discontinuation of all pharmaceuticals ...we can't figure it out. No matter. In all experiences, we learn. So let me relate my experience with one of those light energy people.
This individual's initials are O.M. While this may inspire the thought of a Bodhisattva meditating and chanting the sound of all creation, you would be mistaken. This individual was born in Tel Aviv and studied at Brandeise University. He is a liberal Jew born and bred! He is steeped in the liberal ideology of his upbringing and education. There is no way to present an argument that will sink in past his conditioning. Yet he is one of the coolest cats I have met out here in Vail! But he is a typical liberal in one sense. Rather than discussing any philosophical difference rationally, he would rather plug his fingers into his ears and go "la la la la la." He has never actually done this. But he does it in a virtual sense. His attitude is that his ideology is by default correct, and he wouldn't want to dislike me because of my "off the ranch" kind of thinking. So when I give him a ribbing that Obama is dissing his boy Bebe Netanyahu, and that Obama is an anti-Semite, he changes the subject. But we can joke about our differences and make light of the thing, despite our entrenched opposite views. I have, and have had, many other liberal friends and acquaintences. One of them is such a good friend, that I wrote him the long letter you see to the right. We remain good friends despite our political differences. I love the people on the other side that are up for the rough and tumble. I used to look forward to going to work because one particular fellow worker (J.S.) was willing to go to the mat in political dialogue ... and he had the same zeal, I'm sure. I don't hate people that have opposite views. I try to make a logical argument and expect them to do the same. This is how it was in the old days ... like in the 1780's.
Now my landlord out here (K.K.), is an Obama Zombie if I ever met one (sorry, that's not really a very nice thing to say). But I don't mean it perniciously. My landlords have been gracious hosts and are both wonderful people. They are both light energy people. Like I said, I don't dislike people who disagree with me. But here is the plain fact. Vail wouldn't be here if it wasn't for late Peter W. Seibert, who hiked seven hours up a mountain with his friend Earl Eaton and had a vision and a determination to make a dream come true. Could Seibert have had the same dream under the Stalin, the freedom to pursue it under Mao, or the private property rights to develop it under Chavez? The answer is NO! I simply cannot understand how anyone can ignore the history of how the socialist and authoritarian regimes of the past have ultimately turned out. Every such regime that has ever existed ends up reducing wealth, eroding human rights, destroying property rights, destroying initiative, indoctrinating children, etc. It has never turned out well ... EVER! And for Obama to simply laugh off those who call him a socialist (and say that protesters have nothing to back up the argument) is nothing but a ploy to reassure the uninformed.
Now (K.K.) has actually plugged her ears and gone "la la la la la" when faced with the rational argument against Obamacare. It's kind of funny. I laughed out loud. But I don't begrudge the people on the other side of the argument, and I hope those on the other side don't begrudge me. What I'm finding though, is a pattern of dismissal right off the rip. Why? ... Does the concept of the bankruptcy of the United States of America not give pause for thought? (see chart below). What really bothers the liberal is that their stereotype of the libertarian/conservative as a hateful person does not fit the reality. It is easier to buy the lamestream media line that conservatives and tea party patriots are motivated by racism and all that garbage than it is to face the facts of our deteriorating American dream. The ecstasy of the final triumph of the progressive vision (by means of the Whitehouse political thumbscrew) is being disrupted by throngs of Americans saying, "that's way over the line." This bothers the true dyed in the wool liberal. But that's OK! What is not OK is to hate a person solely for the fact that you dislike their views or ideas. "Love thy enemy".
Below is a rational argument. The Republicans gained a majority in the 104th Congress. They reigned in Clinton's spending and actually created a surplus. (Remember: Lower taxes increase revenues to the treasury). Then Republicans lost their way, caved to the Progressives, and over spent. Now we have the Pelosi, Reed, and Obama triumvirate. Look at the chart now! It's out of control.
Libs love to say the word "sustainability." Is there anything on this chart that screams sustainability? (Remember: Higher taxes discourage economic activity and decrease revenues to the treasury). In other words, it's actually worse than the chart shows!

Tick them off with laughter!
Poor Harry Weisiger ... Any wiley driver knows that the person who gets rammed into from behind is the victim of the car accident. The Obama guy got rammed because he slammed on his brakes while being tailgated by an overly aggressive ticked off patriot. Folks don't be idiots. The left will take every insult, any aggressive action, any disagreement, and label it hate speech. Any slight will be magnified by the incestuous media. Weisiger gets the felony because he instigated the incident and was clearly harassing the guy. If you want to get under the skin of an Obama supporter, you have to do it laughter my friends. You have to be laughing as you drive past the sucker. Being seen as a joke is much more infuriating to the so-called victim, and it will stick with him longer. Anger and violence only lead to a convenient way for the left to build an arsenal.
Use the following technique at your own risk. If you drive away laughing, the occupant of the Obama vehicle may become aggressive. You yourself might become a victim. I don't want that on my conscience. Further, you know that such a story would be buried buy the lamestream media. Remember, that they are skilled at the art of victim-ology ... and it can only apply to them. Having stated this caveat ...
Background: I must give credit for this technique to my friend D.C., one of the funniest conservatives I know. I don't want to reveal his name, but D.C. was witness to the highlight of my golfing life ... back-to-back eagles at Springvale golf club. I have never had a hole-in-one... but holing out from a hundred yards over a lake, with a huge tree guarding it, for a second straight eagle, was nearly the same feeling! I actually believe back-to-back eagles may be more rare than a hole-in-one.
THE TECHNIQUE:
Make sure you use this technique safely. Don't try this in heavy traffic. The best scenario is you at a red light in the left hand turn lane. The Obama bumper sticker is sitting to your right, heading straight. In the best case, you get the green arrow first. Try to time it so that just as you get the green arrow, you had just delivered the visual punch line. OK?
You have ten seconds or so until you get the green arrow. Lightly honk your horn and get the attention of the Obama bumper sticker. When he looks over, you have the thumbs up gesture going on. You are smiling and mouthing the word OBAMA. No need for the window to be rolled down. (It is easy to read the lips that are saying that nasty word). So your going, "Obama, Obama, Obama" with a big smile. Just as the arrow turns green, your smile turns to a frown and the thumb does a nosedive to the thumbs down position. You drive off laughing.

Now this technique may have been more appropriate, just after the election, when the bloom was still on the rose in the Obama administration.
Now that the petals are falling off, you may be encountering a more hardened leftist. A good many of the "Obama regret-tors" have peeled off their Obama bumper stickers. So, be careful.
Eric Cantor is getting death threats. To the left these threats are deserved. Gathering in Washington D.C. with patriotic fever is a group of freedom loving Americans. To the left, this is hate speech.

The whole scenario of Nancy Pelosi marching across the street with the giant gavel in her hand for the healthcare vote was an absolute ploy to raise the ire of the patriot resistance. The whole thing was orchestrated in an effort to evoke some kind of racist altercation. When the patriots would not oblige ... the Democrats simply made it up! Don't forget ... the accusation of racism is just as bad as racism itself. Kudos to Breitbart for offering a bounty to anyone that can supply audio or video of anyone in the crowd using a racist or homophobic slur. We're still waiting for the smoking gun ....

Man on the Street ... Disturbing
I'm listening to Hannity's Man On The Street interview. He is interviewing (baiting, with a purpose) a man that completely buys into a cradle to grave existence and the mass word of mouth Lamestream Media "rumors" that are passed off as truth. Hannity basically gets this guy to agree to every Marxist ideal. Then he calls him a Marxist ... and the man denies it. It is unbelievable that America has been dumbed down to this level. The man could not come up with anything specific that he knew about the health care bill. He started searching, ".... specifics, specifics .... um. I'm drawing a blank."

The Fight is ON!
Having traveled from Cleveland to Vail, I saw a lot of green signs saying that the road work was courtesy of the American Reinvestment Act. Not once did I see or have I seen since a worker occupying the construction zone so identified. It's like the administration said, "Well, we'll just contract out for ten million signs and post them all over the federal highway system ... we'll just pocket the rest of it for when we need it." So I guarantee that Obama will now start doling out the jobs and you will see lots of activity as the election season approaches. Look for lots of construction delays this summer.
Rush is correctly predicting that Walgreens in Washington state will be targeted by the left as one of those "evil corporations." They will be demonized for refusing to accept new Medicare patients.

Get out of my backyard
For most of my life I have lived in the Cleveland area. I have lived for the past few years with the loony-lefty Dennis Kucinich as my representative. For the past few months I have been here in Vail. Though I am enjoying the mountain air, the skiing, and the beauty, I feel as if I have abandoned my post. The megalomaniac himself (Obama), the man with forked tongue, visited my district in Ohio today. How I wish I were there to carry a sign on Royalton Rd. ... or better yet, get into the rec center for some unashamed heckling. Looking at the sheep he packed in there makes me sad. Where did he find so many lemmings? I am glad to say that I didn't recognize any of the pathetic sheep standing behind him!

Hope less-ness and Confidence
I must admit that this thought comes from a book titled, "When Things Fall Apart." I'm paraphrasing here.
The opposite of hope is fear. The opposite of hope less-ness is confidence. Usually you would spell that "hopelessness." But latter implies grief. The former implies detachment from the sentient denial of one's mortality.
In this respect hope and fear are both negatives; hope less-ness and confidence are both positives.
Hope and fear force the mind to live in past and future; hope less-ness and confidence allow the mind to stay in the ever present moment.
Hope less-ness and confidence allow one to tread on the cusp of the ever unfolding and the ever creating.

Superbowl Update
It looks like the "under" folks .... They are running the clock prematurely ... consistently.
2012 Presidential Prediction
Hillary Clinton has a once in a lifetime opportunity coming up in 2012. She can appeal to centrist Democrats and independents and wrestle Obama's automatic incumbency to the ground. The key will be the states passing laws that require proof of citizenship in order for the states electors to certify a candidate for president. This will require Hillary to co-opt the birthers. If Hillary steps down as Secretary of State in the next year or so, then you know she's going to go for it. Of course, in states with open primaries, Republicans in droves would vote for Hillary during the primary season. If Hillary can pull the rug out from Obama, the Republicans can put Palin up for a UFC style battle to be the first woman to occupy the presidency. The perfecta of American politics thus achieved. Someone like Alan West would be a great VP pick for Palin.
If Obama overcomes (as a truly sociopathic individual, he will likely find a way), then the Republicans will have to run something like a Fred Thompson/Mitt Romney ticket or vice-versa. Palin will have to settle for Energy Secretary in a new administration ... not a bad place. Romney could come at the public with the perspective that the government should be run like a business and not like a hungry amorphous amoeba feeding off the shrinking private sector. Fred Thompson has that fatherly advice thing going for him. He could win in the field of ideas and on the basis of his generational wisdom ... the wisdom of the founding fathers, etc.

Rush is calling for operation Chaos II. Chaos in reverse. Best hope for Hillary Democrats is to protest the Obama-ites by staying home on Nov. 2. Let the Republicans wave in and stand up to Obama. Hillary then has a better shot at challenging the sitting president in the primary for 2012.
Regardless, we need states to stiffen their certification process. Remember: Hillary is the original birther. We want the proof in 2012.
Praying for the health of Supreme Court justices.

Delusional in Elyria
I wish I could have been in my home state for the Tea Party protest in Elyria. From the audio I caught, Obama is beginning to sound desperate and delusional. He will likely become more hostile and radical as we go along here ... that the voters spoke out clearly in Massachusetts is of no consequence to this megalomaniac!
Are you starting to get this America?
Obama: "I'm not gonna stop fighting." Fighting, losing rounds but not giving up; I'm doin this and I'm doin that; "I, I, I, I'm doin this for you!" blah, blah, blah.

.... and then Haiti
I have been posting less as I try to envelop myself in the Vail experience and take a break from the fervant expression my displeasure with the statist dictators that are muscling themselves into power. I look at Chavez devaluating the currency to cement his power. I see his country suffering a decline in abundance and moving to rationing electricity and a decline of goods and services ...AND THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE ... THE ... THE ....................MODEL! This is dumbfounding to me. Look at the so-called benevolence of his Socialism ... trying to bully America into providing aid to Haiti ... something that generous capitalists, and the country that once embodied their spirit would provide anyway .... and has provided for those stricken with disasters for decades past. This punk ... Chavez .... just punk of a man.
.... further ...regarding the good old USA ... The unions ... specifically those with collective bargaining agreements with the ... the ... the GOVERNMENT, have gotten (or, are getting) a sweetheart deal from the ... the ... the GOVERNMENT. They get the "Cadillac Plan Exemption." In short ... if you are not eventually unionized ... your screwed when it comes to healthcare ... ohhhh ... I see. So eventually a non-unionist will be a little bit screwed when it comes to the access of other goods and services as well. Ohhhhh ... so this is how the black market forms. Capitalists that are screwed out of goods that would normally be available in the preferred free market are forced to break the law in order to create a market that is now unavailable to them ... simply for the fact that they are free market capitalists.
The attempt here is not only to redistribute wealth from the wealthy to the poor, but to re-distribute power .... from the free market to the government controlled market ............................................ once this takes place (.... please America .... let's not let it happen!) then we get into the situation like Venezuala ... The government, so fettered with coruption and bloat, cannot provide services with any modicum of efficiency. That's when we get the shortages, and outages, lack of goods, and rationing. America ... look at Venezuala as sort of a time portal into a possible future for this country. Perish the thought! Stand Up!
As for Haiti ... it's a terrible situation ... and I feel for the people there. But had this same earthquake taken place in a capitlist country, many less lives would be lost. This country has been ruled by thugs and dictators for many decades ... and what is there ... poverty, primitive infrastructure, no redundant serives, persistant shortages of supplies. If this had happened near the capital of the Dominican Republic, there would be less physical damage and less loss of life. I don't mean to sound hard-hearted ... but it is true.
Socialism leads down the path from "how to do more with less" to "you WILL do more with less!" ... the collective pessimism

LIBERTY ... THAT'S THE PATH!
FREEDOM ... and ... RULE OF LAW ................the middle path!
