For most of my life I have lived in the Cleveland area. I have lived for the past few years with the loony-lefty Dennis Kucinich as my representative. For the past few months I have been here in Vail. Though I am enjoying the mountain air, the skiing, and the beauty, I feel as if I have abandoned my post. The megalomaniac himself (Obama), the man with forked tongue, visited my district in Ohio today. How I wish I were there to carry a sign on Royalton Rd. ... or better yet, get into the rec center for some unashamed heckling. Looking at the sheep he packed in there makes me sad. Where did he find so many lemmings? I am glad to say that I didn't recognize any of the pathetic sheep standing behind him!

Oh ... And I hear that little Dennis got to ride on Air Force One! Did he get a loli-pop? ... and a helicopter hat? ... and a balloon after the ride was over? Go ahead Dennis ... vote for the bill jack ass. You are a smarmy boot licker Dennis! Your time is just about done. I can't wait to vote against you again. Let's see ... how many times has it been for me? At least four times straight I believe!

Hope less-ness and Confidence

I must admit that this thought comes from a book titled, "When Things Fall Apart." I'm paraphrasing here.

The opposite of hope is fear. The opposite of hope less-ness is confidence. Usually you would spell that "hopelessness." But latter implies grief. The former implies detachment from the sentient denial of one's mortality.

In this respect hope and fear are both negatives; hope less-ness and confidence are both positives.

Hope and fear force the mind to live in past and future; hope less-ness and confidence allow the mind to stay in the ever present moment.

Hope less-ness and confidence allow one to tread on the cusp of the ever unfolding and the ever creating.

2012 Presidential Prediction

Hillary Clinton has a once in a lifetime opportunity coming up in 2012. She can appeal to centrist Democrats and independents and wrestle Obama's automatic incumbency to the ground. The key will be the states passing laws that require proof of citizenship in order for the states electors to certify a candidate for president. This will require Hillary to co-opt the birthers. If Hillary steps down as Secretary of State in the next year or so, then you know she's going to go for it. Of course, in states with open primaries, Republicans in droves would vote for Hillary during the primary season. If Hillary can pull the rug out from Obama, the Republicans can put Palin up for a UFC style battle to be the first woman to occupy the presidency. The perfecta of American politics thus achieved. Someone like Alan West would be a great VP pick for Palin.

If Obama overcomes (as a truly sociopathic individual, he will likely find a way), then the Republicans will have to run something like a Fred Thompson/Mitt Romney ticket or vice-versa. Palin will have to settle for Energy Secretary in a new administration ... not a bad place. Romney could come at the public with the perspective that the government should be run like a business and not like a hungry amorphous amoeba feeding off the shrinking private sector. Fred Thompson has that fatherly advice thing going for him. He could win in the field of ideas and on the basis of his generational wisdom ... the wisdom of the founding fathers, etc.

Rush is calling for operation Chaos II. Chaos in reverse. Best hope for Hillary Democrats is to protest the Obama-ites  by staying home on Nov. 2. Let the Republicans wave in and stand up to Obama. Hillary then has a better shot at challenging the sitting president in the primary for 2012.

Regardless, we need states to stiffen their certification process. Remember: Hillary is the original birther. We want the proof in 2012.

I wish I could have been in my home state for the Tea Party protest in Elyria. From the audio I caught, Obama is beginning to sound desperate and delusional. He will likely become more hostile and radical as we go along here ... that the voters spoke out clearly in Massachusetts is of no consequence to this megalomaniac!

I look at Chavez devaluating the currency to cement his power. I see his country suffering a decline in abundance and moving to rationing electricity and a decline of goods and services ...AND THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE ... THE ... THE ....................MODEL! This is dumbfounding to me. Look at the so-called benevolence of his Socialism ... trying to bully America into providing aid to Haiti ... something that generous capitalists, and the country that once embodied their spirit would provide anyway .... and has provided for those stricken with disasters for decades past. This punk ... Chavez .... just punk of a man.

.... further ...regarding the good old USA ... The unions ... specifically those with collective bargaining agreements with the ... the ... the GOVERNMENT, have gotten (or, are getting) a sweetheart deal from the ... the ... the GOVERNMENT. They get the "Cadillac Plan Exemption." In short ... if you are not eventually unionized ... your screwed when it comes to healthcare ... ohhhh ... I see. So eventually a non-unionist will be a little bit screwed when it comes to the access of other goods and services as well. Ohhhhh ... so this is how the black market forms. Capitalists that are screwed out of goods that would normally be available in the preferred free market are forced to break the law in order to create a market that is now unavailable to them ... simply for the fact that they are free market capitalists.

The attempt here is not only to redistribute wealth from the wealthy to the poor, but to re-distribute power .... from the free market to the government controlled market ............................................ once this takes place (.... please America .... let's not let it happen!) then we get into the situation like Venezuala ... The government, so fettered with coruption and bloat, cannot provide services with any modicum of efficiency. That's when we get the shortages, and outages, lack of goods, and rationing. America ... look at Venezuala as sort of a time portal into a possible future for this country. Perish the thought! Stand Up!


As for Haiti ... it's a terrible situation ... and I feel for the people there. But had this same earthquake taken place in a capitlist country, many less lives would be lost. This country has been ruled by thugs and dictators for many decades ... and what is there ... poverty, primitive infrastructure, no redundant serives, persistant shortages of supplies. If this had happened near the capital of the Dominican Republic, there would be less physical damage and less loss of life. I don't mean to sound hard-hearted ... but it is true.

Vince Flynn

Glenn Beck is interviewing Vince Flynn ... good stuff. I read Pursuit of Honor three weeks ago. It's a pretty quick read. I'm not an avid fiction reader ... but I did enjoy the book. All I can say is we all need to have a little bit of Mitch Rapp in all of us. We need a new CIA ... the Civilian Intelligence Agency!

During this interview Beck explainded the Overton Window. I used to tell my Democrat friends that in light of the current atmosphere, John F. Kennedy looks like a center-right Republican. This was my way of explaining the Overton Window ... I just didn't know it had a name.

The Glenn Beck Strategy

So as not to be accused of participating in the Glenn Beck echo chamber, I am posting my thoughts on a patriot strategy to re-take the homeland. Beck has been hyping his plan for weeks now. Here is what I think should be part of the plan.

1: Hillary Clinton, you remember, was the carpetbagger that moved to New York to run for the Senate. We need our own carpetbagger movement. We need strong articulate patriots to re-locate to vulnerable Democrat or Rhino statist districts. That doesn't necessarily mean they run for office. It means they will find the local patriots who will eventually lead their districts out of the Federal morass. Having the moral compulsion to do the right thing, potential candidates must commit to term limits. We must find pro capitalists that will go to Washington D.C., work for THE PEOPLE, and leave.

2: Replicate strategy 1 on a state rep level.

• Find districts with Democrat Statists and Republican Statists and work the grass roots to throw them out.
• Find States rights proponents and limited government conservatives to run as candidates to replace them.
• Exert 10th amendment states rights.
• The already strong states must re-double their assertiveness.

3: Strong states must make it attractive for businesses to re-locate. These states should be pro business, pro energy, low taxation, pro gun, pro free speech, pro freedom of association.

4: These state must strongly back and defend those who wish to civilly disobey unconstitutional federal mandates.

Random Thoughts

Harry Reid is a complete lying statist!

No matter what happens in the Senate ... the Republicans must force the bill to be read aloud into the record. This should be demanded ... and Republicans must suck it up and read the whole thing ... even if it takes forty hours. Then the wizards of smart (like Beck and Limbaugh) can piece together a wonderful montage of "government shalls" and "fee for this" and "penalty for that" and "tax on this." The montage of the clips alone would consume at least an hour.

The last half hour of the Glenn Beck radio show was priceless today! It reminded me of why I started listening to him way back before it was cool. I used to catch Beck on WTAM starting five or six years back. It's funny, I would tune in WTAM only to hear dead silence ... a full ten seconds later Glenn Beck would finish some intense thought. I used to call Beck the master of the pregnant pause.

Today he was excoriating Norah O'donnel. He played audio of her grilling a young lady in line for the Palin book signing. She intensely asked the young lady about TARP ... and when sensing she had tripped up the young lady, O'donnel proceeded to quote Palin supporting McCain's support of the TARP. The kicker of the whole thing is that the young lady being interviewed .... was ... 13 years old! One of the funniest bits I have heard Beck do in a long time.

But to address the issue. Of course Palin had to support McCain ... she was running for Vice President not President.

Yesterday was Friday the 13th. It will prove to be a very unlucky day for America.

Obama's decision to try war criminals in a civilian court is nothing more than "political theater." This is the term he himself used when asking congress to hold off the investigation of a clear act of terrorism by Nidal Hassan. These criminals of 911 have already confessed. Bringing them here will create new terror targets, destroy our intelligence services, and make the United States less safe. This president is wreckless, short-sighted, and cowardly.

Meeps!

I love it! Some high schoolers have been interrupting class by uttering the nonsense word of a Sesame Street character. I guess they have been saying the word "meep." They're driving teachers and administrators nuts.

America! There is hope! This is the greatest piece of news I have heard in a long time. It says, "We're teenagers and screw your high-minded drivel! Screw the establishment!" They are screaming, "We are not sheep!" We are Americans ... the rugged individual is the authority ... not the pedantic hand-me-downs and ideas that history has always revealed to be roads to failure. Thanks, but I'll bend my own mind. We need more meepers and a lot less sheepers.

Common Sense

On November 3, 2009 I posted "Assaut on Liberty." A day or two later, Drudge posted an article about the penalties for non-compliance with the government run health care plan. In short, the IRS can fine you $250,000.00 and throw you in jail for five years if you do not purchase health insurance and consequently refuse to pay the 2.5% fine. I believe the very first paragraph of Thomas Paine's Common Sense is appropriate here.

"Some writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher."

Pelosi is a lunatic

In her press conference, after narrowly passing the health care legislation, Nancy Pelosi just said that "Democrats voted for this bill and one Republican ... that equals bi-partisan." This woman is out of her flippin mind. No really ... the lunatics are running the asylum.

I made the trip to Washington D.C. two days ago to join the thousands of other Americans seeking to make their voices heard. It looks like I will be going back again. I hope more and more concerned Americans will commit to making a trip to D.C. . We must keep up the fight to make our voices heard! We need an American Citizen Filibuster!

ASSAULT ON LIBERTY




Over one hundred and fifty years ago, a very wise man wrote this, “I heartily accept the motto, - ‘That government is best which governs least.’ ” Further on he adds, “Government is at its best but an expedient; but most governments are usually, and all governments are sometimes, inexpedient.” That wise man was Henry David Thoreau from his essay On the Duty of Civil Disobedience.


Ladies and gentlemen, this piece of legislation is the crown jewel of inexpedient government. First off it destroys trees (where are all the environmentalist protesters now!). But in all seriousness, it destroys life (mandating abortion coverage). It destroys liberty (placing the government in a position to decide the fate of our own flesh and blood). It destroys happiness (eventually forcing the 85 percent of people happy with their health insurance into a government run monstrosity). This bill is like a kernel of un-popped popcorn just waiting to explode into a bevy of unintended consequences and costs. I here today can predict what some of those costs will be. Billions of dollars will be spent on both sides to defend and attack this unconstitutional piece of drivel. Billions will be spent to build jails to hold millions of people, like me, who will exercise his duty to disobey the mandates of this unconstitutional bill.


This bill is not about health care! Just as Cap and Trade legislation is not about the environment! Both are about government power and control. Both seek to control every aspect of individual American lives. This congress is pressing an agenda of soft tyranny. AND THIS WILL NOT STAND! Tone deaf legislators beware … WE WILL THROW YOU OUT! YOU WORK FOR US! VOTE FOR THIS BILL AND WE WILL FIRE YOU!


Thoreau continues, “this government never of itself furthered any enterprise, but by the alacrity with which it got out of its way. It does not keep the country free. It does not settle the West. It does not educate. The character inherent in the American people has done all that has been accomplished.” And allow me to add my own words. Looking at the modern day inexpedient government and its burdensome enterprises … It cannot run an efficient rail system (Amtrak) … Conrail does. It cannot run an efficient postal system … Federal Express does. It cannot run an efficient health care system. Medicare is fraught with fraud and abuse. It cannot run a retirement safety net system … Social Security is bankrupt. Nearly everything the government undertakes becomes more inefficient. The claim that this bill is deficit neutral is an absolute lie!


Thoreau goes on to quote one of my favorite Chinese philosophers … NOT THE DICTATOR AND MURDERER AND WHITEHOUSE FAVORITE MAO TSE TUNG … but Confucius. He says, “If a State is governed by the principles of reason, poverty and misery are the subjects of shame; if a State is not governed by the principles of reason, riches and honors are the subject of shame.” It is quite clear today that the government has sought to shame the citizens that produce wealth. This government seeks to take from the producers and give to the non-producers. The State has clearly lost its reason.


It is not just the right, but the duty of every red-blooded American to commit to an act of civil disobedience. Do not bend to the will of the Statist!
